It is home to the impressive Ludlow Castle, as well as Whitcliffe Common Nature Reserve, and the River Teme, which meanders through the town and forms a beach at Millennium Green, where paddling is popular. The town is home to many restaurants and pubs, including the riverside Charlton Arms Hotel and Church Inn, which in summer months has a beer garden in the grounds of St Laurence’s Church. The local area is renowned for its natural beauty, with Carding Mill Valley, The Long Mynd, and Bircher Common, providing some of the most beautiful landscapes in the region. There are also many gardens and historic buildings close by. Venture further afield to the historical towns of Shrewsbury, Hereford, or Worcester, or perhaps explore the Malverns Hills.
