Madocs Barn Reviews

Emma
We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotlessly clean and really well equipped, making it feel like a home away from home. The massive lounge and dining area were perfect for relaxing in the evenings, especially with the log burner on. The bedrooms at each end gave us all plenty of privacy, which was much appreciated. The views were truly stunning - so peaceful out there. The hot tub was a lovely surpriseand we enjoyed a meal at The Radnorshire Arms, which was great value. Would definitely come back!

We just got back from a lovely stay at the barn. The setting is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for dogs. It's cosy yet spacious enough for us and the pups. Definitely a place we'd visit again!
Emma
We stayed at Madocs Barn for our mini moon after the wedding and honestly, it was just perfect! The cosy cottage with stunning views of the Welsh hills made it so relaxing. We really enjoyed having a good selection of DVDs instead of endless streamingand curling up with a book by the fire was just what we needed. The fire had plenty of wood and lighters too, so no hassle there. Overall, a lovely escape and we'd definitely recommend it!
Emma
We really enjoyed our stay here! The rooms are at opposite ends, so plenty of privacy for two couples, plus their own bathrooms. Our three dogs loved exploring the two garden areas; one even had a tall wall, which was perfect for our jumping foxhound. The log burner made the evenings super cosy. We'll definitely be back. Thanks a lot!
Emma
We loved this cottage! Perfectly spacious for our three big dogsand the views are stunning. The gardens are fully enclosed, which was great, though we did keep an eye on the sheep passing by in one of them. The host was lovely but not intrusive at all. Beds were super comfyand the showers really hit the spot. The hot tub was a real highlight, offering daytime views and starry nights if the sky's clear. Very peaceful spotand the Xmas tree field was handy for some off-lead fun with the dogs. We'd definitely come back!

We had a fantastic stay at this cottage, tucked away in such a lovely spot. The hot tub was a real treat after long days exploringand watching the Red Kites soar above us was truly special. The walled garden kept our dogs safe, though we did worry a bit about them trying to squeeze through to the sheep. The arrival treats and fresh bread were a lovely touch that made us feel really welcome. Definitely a place we'd return to!
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay, the barn was charming and peacefuland the owner was genuinely lovely throughout.

Holly
We really enjoyed our stay! The beds were super comfyand it was great to have allergy-friendly options for the duvet and pillows, though the duck feather ones are available if you prefer. The view from the hot tub was stunning, especially with the sheep and lambs grazing nearby-so cute! The garden was secure, perfect for our dog, but a heads up-some dogs might not be keen with the sheep around. The host was lovely and kept things quiet, which we appreciated. The powerful en suite shower was a bonusand the underfloor heating kept us cosy. We'll definitely come back!
Emma
The barn was lovely, really cosy and nicely converted. The hot tub was a definite highlight. Getting there involved some narrow country roads, but it's so peaceful and remote. Dogs loved running free in the secure fieldand the sheep added to the charm!
Harriet

Moira was a sweetheart, very welcoming and gave us helpful info. The cosy home, comfy bedsand heated floors made it extra special. The secure garden was perfect for our rescue dog to roam freely. The en-suite shower had great pressure and the board games kept us entertained in the evening. Definitely a place we'd return to!

We loved the cosy cottage, perfect for exploring the stunning border region. The hot tub was a real treat, especially under those clear dark skies where we could just sit and gaze at the stars. Absolutely fantastic!
Emma
Honestly, the photos don't quite capture how stunning and spacious this place really is. We picked it mainly for the lovely walks nearby, but ended up just wanting to stay in because it's so gorgeous. The underfloor heating, log burnerand the collection of games and DVDs really made our trip special. The two big gardens are perfect for dogs, completely secure so we could chill in the hot tub without fretting. Moira was super friendly and welcoming too. We'd definitely come back!
Jamie
We had a really good stay at the place. The property had everything we neededand the views across the valley were stunning-perfect for a relaxing break. The hot tub was a lovely touchand we enjoyed it so much. The access track is a bit bumpy, but that's to be expected in such a rural spot. Parking was a bit of a hassle, as parking right by the house blocks the trackand the alternative spot under the tree was covered in bird poo-bit of a shame, but probably unavoidable. We'd definitely come back!
Emily
We had a lovely stay at this charming cottage! It's well-equipped with everything we neededand the beds were super comfy. The location was perfect for us, about 15-20 minutes to everything we wanted to visit. The place is surprisingly warm for an old buildingand the two bedrooms at each end gave us all some privacy. We enjoyed the log fire and the selection of board games. The enclosed back garden with a tall wall was perfect for the dogs, especially since they can be a bit jumpy. Would definitely come back!
Emma
