The accommodation is split across 6 bedrooms including one super-king, two kings, one double, one twin and a studio with two double beds. There are 4 bathrooms, so no awkward morning queues (unless someone's had too much Welsh ale). The double-height ceilings create a sense of space, while the large dining table is perfect for raucous family dinners.
Visit Bwrdd Arthur (10.5 miles) for ancient history, explore the tiny village of Pen-y-Bont-Fawr (1.5 miles) for local pubs, or drive to Lake Vyrnwy (8 miles/15 minutes) for stunning scenery. To reach Upper Valley Barn by car, take the A490 toward Llanfyllin, then follow signs for Hirnant. The barn is located in a rural setting with good access from main roads and sits in a stunning valley location.
For rail travelers, the nearest station is Welshpool, approximately 20 miles away. From there, you'll need to arrange a taxi to complete your journey to Hirnant and Upper Valley Barn.
